History
The Brotherhood's history dates back to the early '90s. Russell Malbrough, co-chair of The Brotherhood from 1995-1996, stated "The group was supported by the Office of Student Life and started in the early 1990’s. It was created as a discussion space primarily staffed by an Associate Dean who provided a framework for the meeting conversations “Check-In, Discussion Topic, etc.” facilitated by student leaders. I believe the idea was brought to Brown by Leonard Perry. I was a co-chair of the group with Ricardo Wilson who organized our trip to Washington, DC for the Million Man March."
